My parents emigrated from England, but my younger brother and I were born and raised in Perth WA but also lived in Albany and Bunbury.  Brisbane has now been my home for many years. I have always had the urge to draw, paint and create art and did so from an early age. At school I did as many art and technical drawing classes as permitted. My art teachers encouraged me to become an art teacher but I did not follow that path at that stage. I furthered my education studying art and design at TAFE and various other art institutions both in WA and QLD, Australia.

My art is from the heart......I take loads of photos while travelling and store them as reference materials. However, my artworks are often created by a combination of my memory, reference material and my imagination...... Each piece evolves differently as it is being created..... I hope my works evoke happy memories within my viewers.
